Instead of suppressing your tears have a good cry and get it out of your system. Here are some tips to get you in a safe space for tearful release. Sit with your feet flat on the floor. Close your eyes. Inhale deeply. Imagine tiny strings below the floor stretching your feet deep into the floor, keeping you grounded and in touch with the earth. For a few minutes, meditate on your place in the world and let yourself inhale, exhale, through your feelings. Arise slowly and calmly.
Are you feeling stubborn?
An often overlooked cause of exhaustion is that people tend be very independent and blame themselves for the stress in their lives. Learn to ask for help. Reach out to the people you trust and use your resources. Allowing these connections to support you takes the burden off of you, it gives them an opportunity to express their positive energy.
And if you don’t feel like socializing or reconnecting?
There is nothing wrong with staying in or being introvert. But if your decisions to avoid social outings make you feel withdrawn from your social life,take some quality life to connect with the ideas that define your personality. Read your favorite book, go for a long run in the woods, listen to a song that reminds you of a special time in your life. Self-care is not a luxury, but essential for your health.
